Hyundai i20 Bumper Scuff Repair – Perfect Colour Match

At Spraywise Golborne, we regularly help customers restore their vehicles after everyday bumps and scrapes. This recent repair on a Hyundai i20 is a great example of how professional paintwork can make damage disappear completely.

The Damage

This Hyundai arrived with a noticeable scuff and scrape along the front bumper, running from the wheel arch toward the fog light.

While the damage was not structural, it had removed paint and left visible marks across the panel, something that really stood out against the car’s bright yellow paintwork, which can be a particularly tricky colour to match.

Yellow shades are well known in the body repair industry for being difficult to blend seamlessly, especially on plastic bumpers where paint can reflect slightly differently than on metal panels.

The Repair Process

To restore the bumper, the repair involved:

Carefully preparing and smoothing the damaged area
Filling and reshaping where the paint had been gouged
Professional colour matching of the yellow paint
Expert paint blending into the bumper for an invisible finish
Final clear coat and polish to bring the shine back

The goal is always the same — make the repair impossible to spot.

The Result

Once completed, the bumper looked as good as new, with the yellow colour perfectly matched and the scuffs completely gone.

Even difficult colours like this can be restored properly when the right preparation and paint matching techniques are used.

What the Customer Said

“Before & after what a fantastic job, Great price, not the easiest colour to match but it’s matched perfectly.
I would definitely recommend Rick at Spraywise Golborne if you need any bodywork or paint work doing.”

Customer feedback like this is exactly why we take so much care with every repair.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rick repaired several scuffs on my car. He was very polite, helpful and explained the process of what would be done and the timescale.
He kept to his word and the price he quoted was the final amount.
